I've posted comments on Text Section 22.VIII, "Becoming the Means to His End." We'll cover these in group as soon as we finish going through the workshop material on Section VII, which may be this coming Tuesday (May 9) , or may extend another week through May 16.
Since we have nine sections in Chapter 22, and we take a break for the summer after May 30, I will probably aim at finishing this chapter, and postpone our coverage of Workbook Lesson 135 and the booklet, "A Healed Mind Does Not Plan," until the fall. We'll see how quickly things go in the next few weeks. Remember, since I reorganized the website, you must follow the link for "Allen's Text Commentaries" to find the newest commentaries.

I've posted the commentary on T-22.VII, "I Need Do Nothing." This section was located at T-18.VII in the FIP edition, but has been restored to its original place in the sequence of writing, in Chapter 22. It was originally not part of the Course, but was a special message to Helen regarding a particular situation in her life. The message was taken down during the writing of Chapter 22, as shown by its dating compared to the Urtext, so Robert Peggy has moved it into that place. It fits quite well.I explain a little more in the commentary.
For those who have followed my commentaries for a long time, you may realize that I have already commented on this section as we passed through Chapter 18, which is where it appears in the FIP edition, which I was using at the time, before the Circle published the Complete and Annotated Edition (CE). I have essentially duplicated here the commentary I wrote at that time. The Overview has been updated to reflect the new location of the section. I have replaced the quoted text of the section with the same material from the CE, but have compromised by following the paragraphing used in the FIP, to avoid the need to rewrite study questions and comments to accommodate major changes in paragraph breaks. I have taken advantage of the opportunity to do a minor editing pass through my comments, but the changes are minimal. We'll be studying this section in two or three weeks. Please print yourself a copy if you can. Those who have been using this site for any length of time have probably noticed that I have been very remiss in migrating older commentaries from my old website, which is still available. Of course, that means I'm paying for two sites! I'd like to be able to retire the old site, but I have been unable to make time to migrate all of the files.
It turns out that it isn't a simple matter of copying files. While the files I used for downloading can simply be copied over, with the main time involved being creating a new link on the new website, the files used for reading online require hands-on editing for every individual commentary. It just takes too long. Therefore, I've decided to forego copying those files for online reading. I will bring over just the files for download, the PDF files. Since these can be read online as well as downloaded, they really can serve both purposes. It will still be a gradual work, but I hope I can migrate a whole chapter every week or so, and be able to retire the old site by the end of the summer. I have already migrated the remainder of Chapter 1, and all of Chapter 2. Just a word more: You will notice, as I bring over these older files, that they look very different from the commentaries I am currently creating. Mostly, I have evolved my formatting considerably, simplifying it and making it easier to automate. I no longer use colors, and have found ways to indicate all the different nuances within the commentary (emphasis, quotations, etc) using only black type. I am not prepared to take the time to modify these older commentaries to the new format; the content is there and is good enough, I believe. Thanks to everyone who has supported this work! Allen I've uploaded the commentary on T-22.VI, "The Need to Defend." This section will be for later this month. Please print your own copy if you can to bring to the meeting. Tuesday, April 4, we will begin study of T-22.V.
I've uploaded the commentary on T-22.V, "Beyond the Veil." Please print your own copy if you can to bring to the meeting. We'll very likely at least begin study of this section tomorrow, March 28, 2017, after we finish the study of Section IV.
I have uploaded the commentary on T-22.IV, "Seeing Past the Form of Error." Please print your own copy if you can.
T-22.III commentary has been uploaded, for study in a couple of weeks. Please download and print your own copy, if you can..
I have uploaded the commentary on Chapter 22, Sections I & II: "The Undoing of Differences" and "Christ Reborn into His Ancient Home." This will be our subject of study in a week or two. This coming Tuesday, February 7, we will be studying the final sections of Chapter 21.
I have uploaded the commentary for Chapter 21, Section VII, "The Last Unanswered Question. This is an unusually long section in the Complete Edition, because it combines what was two sections (VII and VIII) in the FIP edition. We will certainly spend two or maybe even three weeks covering it. Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 17, at 10:30 to 12:30. We will be covering Section VI, "What Reason Tells You." Latest news on the shipment of the Complete Edition of ACIM is that it has finished printing and has been shipped to Amazon.com for distribution. Amazon will split it out to their various distribution centers, and then the individual deliveries wlll begin. This could be as little as a few days from now to a week or more. We don't know for sure. Robert Perry had a single copy FedExed to himself from the printer, and posted a picture of it: |
